Hon. Teresa Sanchez-Gordon

Judge Sanchez-Gordon has had a distinguished and impactful legal career,
marked by her leadership in presiding over complex litigation and unlimited civil cases. With
over 25 years of experience as both a judge and settlement officer, she has earned a reputation
for her expertise and commitment to the fair administration of justice. Her service to the Los
Angeles community extends beyond the courtroom; in 2024, she was appointed as a
commissioner for the Los Angeles Police Department, further solidifying her dedication to
public service and community well-being.
A passionate advocate for cross-cultural understanding, Judge Sanchez-Gordon has spent over
a decade organizing cultural exchange initiatives for Los Angeles Superior Court judges. These

sensitivity within the legal community. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Judge SanchezGordon was born in Jalisco, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States with her mother and
siblings at the age of three. Her personal journey has profoundly shaped her professional
approach, particularly in matters requiring cultural competency and nuanced understanding.
