February 9 - 15, 2027

Join Lauren Wood, host of the Women in Trial Travel Summit, for an unforgettable small-group journey through Colombia from February 9–15, 2027. Sponsored exclusively by ARC, this six-night experience brings together a community of accomplished women lawyers for a week of adventure, culture, connection, and a little bit of luxury in two of Colombia’s most exciting destinations.

From the colorful colonial streets and Caribbean coastline of Cartagena to the lush mountains and vibrant energy of Medellín, every detail of this trip will be thoughtfully curated. We’ll begin with three nights in Cartagena, where you’ll experience the charm, history, and nightlife of the walled city, learn some new moves during a private salsa dancing experience, shop for Colombia’s famous emeralds, and spend a full day on the Caribbean aboard a private boat—because no WITTS trip would be complete without a WITTS Boat Day!

From Cartagena, we’ll travel to Medellín for three nights exploring a city that has transformed itself into one of South America’s most fascinating destinations. Discover Medellín’s neighborhoods, food, art, and culture with local guides, take in the city from above, and venture outside the city for a day trip to colorful Guatapé, where dramatic scenery, brightly painted streets, and the iconic El Peñol rock make for one of Colombia’s most memorable excursions. Along the way, there will be plenty of time for incredible meals, cocktails, shopping, and the spontaneous moments that make WITTS trips so special.

As with all WITTS trips, everything will be thoughtfully arranged for you—from luxury accommodations and private transportation to curated experiences and group dining—so all you have to do is arrive and enjoy. But this is more than a vacation—it’s an opportunity to share stories, recharge, and build meaningful connections with other women in law while experiencing the very best of Colombia. This intimate experience offers a unique opportunity to explore two distinctly different sides of Colombia while earning 3 hours of MCLE credits*.

Pending certification with the State Bar. Number of credits are dependent upon the number of speakers and time spoken on the trip. A minimum of 6 speakers is required to offer CLEs. If attendees fail to participate, no MCLEs will be applied for.

If accepted, you will receive an invitation to attend the trip and will be sent a link to pay a non-refundable $500 deposit to TourHero. Your spot cannot be held without paying the deposit. This is a group trip.  If you cannot be respectful and kind to other attendees, then this trip is not for you. If you cannot commit to being on time—as a courtesy to other attendees—then this trip is also not for you. Similarly, if you do not do well in a small group setting, you may want to reconsider attending.  If travel stresses you out, then traveling in a group setting probably won't be any easier. If you are particular about sharing a room with people, then you are strongly encouraged to book a single. In sum, negativity on group trips has the ability to ruin other people's trip. For this reason, you are strongly encouraged to think about whether a group trip is right for you before signing up.

If you can commit to being respectful of other attendees, are open to trying new foods and experiences, and are looking for a trip where you will bond with like-minded female trial lawyers and women in the legal industry, enjoy incredible dishes and see what the Sicily has to offer, then it would be our pleasure to host you.

*All attendees are required to purchase a travel insurance policy that includes medical coverage. While any travel insurance policy with medical coverage will suffice, attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase a policy with Cancel for Any Reason coverage. In the event that life gets in the way last minute and you are required to cancel within thirty (30) days of the trip for a reason that is not covered by typical insurance policies, Cancel for Any Reason coverage may help get some of your money back. Please read the entirety of our cancellation policy, along with general Terms & Conditions, HERE.
