Rennee Dehesa

Attorney Rennee Dehesa is a bilingual estate planning and estate administration attorney with extensive experience in succession planning, probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and guardianships. She also has substantial experience with business transactions, formations, and business succession planning. She is focused primarily in the following areas of practice:

Professional Experience
For over twelve years, Ms. Dehesa has been providing legal representation to individuals, families, and business owners who seek to establish a legacy while protecting their estate and businesses through the establishment of living trusts, wills, and partnership agreements. Her experience in managing estates and representing businesses gives her the unique ability to integrate the professional and operational need of business owners with their estate planning and administration needs. When a loved one passes, she is there to help family and loved ones manage their estate whether it be through a trust administration or a probate matter. Additionally, she represents clients in a variety of other probate matters including spousal petitions, small estate administrations, conservatorships and guardianships.

She is a recipient of the Pacific Coast Business Times Top 40 Under 40 and Top 50 Women in Business. In 2017, Ms. Dehesa was honored with the Ventura County Women Lawyers’ Holly Spevak Award for her work in introducing a legislative bill in California which would have created the legal framework for a Power of Attorney for the care of a minor child and for her volunteer work with undocumented families and their children.

Education and Training
Ms. Dehesa earned her undergraduate degree from University of San Diego in 2004, receiving a dual major in Political Science and Spanish with a Minor in Business Administration. In 2006, just two years later, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law. While attending university and law school she worked at a personal injury law firm, assisting the attorneys with case management, negotiation, trial preparation and discovery. She was on Dean’s List each year of law school and graduated with honors.

Ms. Dehesa is a native of Ventura County having graduated from Saint Bonaventure High School and attended elementary and middle schools in Ventura County.

Bar and Court Admissions
Since completing her legal education, Ms. Dehesa has been admitted to practice by the State Bar of California, and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California, the Supreme Court of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Community Involvement and Interests
Ms. Dehesa is an active member of the Ventura County Bar Association. Her involvement with the local legal community is extensive. She has previously been the President of the Mexican American Bar Association, the Ventura County Barristers, a board member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the 2021 Ventura County Women Lawyers’ President.
She has previously taught legal continuing education courses with the National Business Institute on various topics including estate planning, client management and cultural sensitivity and bias.

Ms. Dehesa’s community involvement extends to other sectors including serving as a board member of the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Camarillo Chamber’s Education Committee and committee member of the CSUCI Connection Committee through the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she is a volunteer with Girls, Inc. a non-profit organization dedicated to providing programming and mentoring to young girls and boys who are incarcerated or determined to be at risk.

Ms. Dehesa resides in Camarillo with her husband and her son, Oliver. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling and volunteering.
